We suspect that “getting more exercise” was near the top of many New Year’s resolutions lists. We also suspect that “I’ve been chained to my desk” is near the top of many lists explaining why that resolution has yet to be fulfilled. Ampolo viewer Mike has an idea that can break those chains (and gives new meaning to the word “multitasking”).
Recent Ampolo episodes have featured an idea for sharing tollway revenues with charities and a vehicle sticker system to reward drivers of eco-friendly cars. On Sunday January 27, the New York Times offered a tollway-related means for rewarding those driving green.
A mime, a fisherman, and a hit man walk into an Ampolo episode….Complete the joke, or, at least, watch this week’s offering. And please send us your ideas, large and small.
As this week’s feature clearly demonstrates, whether it comes to fashion or fashioning blogs, Ampolo is cutting edge. You can visit Keiler’s blog directly by going to: simplewardrobe.blogspot.com.
As if further proof is needed is needed that Ampolo is au courant, we refer you to snippets from two recent articles in the New York Times and Chicago Tribune respectively.

Finally, we have been soliciting ideas from you on particular subjects via email. Soon you’ll see episodes featuring your responses. In the meantime, here is viewer Tom’s response to our request for interesting websites. We checked it out and suggest you do, too:
“A great vocabulary game, and a socially responsible one you can do every day! Go to www.freerice.com and increase your knowledge and be a good person to boot!”
If you’ve ever been up a creek, you know how important it is to have a paddle. Thanks to a great idea sent to us by viewer Susan from North Carolina, we’re now aware of another place where a paddle could me most helpful. Come Christmas Eve, the creatures may not be stirring, but you can if you take this and run with it.
Send us your product ideas, and we’ll try to feature them.

1. Do you use CFLs in your home?
2. If not, why not and what would it take to persuade you to use them?
3. If so, in which room(s) do you use them?
4. If so, what have you found to be the pros and cons of the CFL?
5. Any thoughts on an efficient way to dispose of used CFLs (which do have mercury)?
