Welcome to Ampolo from Ampolo Team on Vimeo.
Ampolo is the word for light bulb or electricity in the universal language of Esperanto, and right here at Ampolo.com is where we are broadcasting new episodes each week featuring a wide range of ideas with the hope that viewers like you will not only be entertained and informed, but might also be inspired to turn them into realities—or as we say: “take them and run with them,” free of charge.
And where do these ideas come from? Some come from us–we’ve previously written two books on the subject: So You’ve Got a Great Idea and Fifty Ways to Help Your Community. But we are counting on you to share your own great ideas for new products, services, brick and mortar establishments, and internet ventures, as well as ideas for new books, movies, television shows and series, and plays. Equally important, we invite you to share creative ways to help make the world, or at least one’s community, a better place. It’s our hope that viewers who learn of such initiatives by cities, citizens, and not for profits will be inspired to duplicate them in their own communities to make life a little better.
Have you heard of Freecycle™? This is an email list matching people who have usable items they no longer need (from appliances to pianos to fishing poles) with people who can use them. There’s no charge to post an item, and no charge for the items themselves. The purpose is to be a good neighbor and to keep usable material out of landfills. Well, Ampolo will freely cycle something less visible but equally usable and valuable: ideas.
So…send in the ideas you want to share with the world by going to our Idea Submission site. We won’t pay you, and you’ll have to agree that once you send something in anyone can use it—just as you can use anyone else’s idea you see on the site. But isn’t that what the internet was created for in first place: the free exchange of ideas…literally.
Welcome to Ampolo.
We’ll keep a light bulb on for you.
